Hey,

I’m on the support with One.com about this issue now, for the 10th time!…

It’s annoying, and as a webdesigner, I can’t work like this! I have also told them to turn this off for my sites, and I don’t get a no on that. But it may seem like it is switched back on again.

I have lead all my web clients to One.com the last years, because of the price, stability, support and just that it works perfectly for most clients needing only one DB.

No I think I have to switch. Any suggestions here? …

The sweet girl on support is still trying to help me. I just added a code in my header.php file 30 min ago, and I still cant find it in my source code! …

Fuck…

Ich hab das gleiche Desaster hier, jedes Mal wenn ich was an meiner Page machen will klappt es nicht, dann wieder mal ein paar mal, dann wieder nicht… Ich hatte ungefähr den gleichen Chat-Austausch wie du. Nebenbei erscheint im Webmail-Client mittlerweile täglich “Internal Server Error” für mehrere Stunden. Für einen der sein Geld damit verdient einfach inakzeptabel. Naja, will mich nicht beschweren, denn bei All-Inkl bin ich schon lange mit anderen Projekten, wollte One.com damals nur ausprobieren. Warum meine eigene Seite nicht auch da liegt…. weiß ich auch nicht Für so wenig Geld bekommt man eben keinen guten Support. Providerwechsel steht an….;)

Ich hab mal zu All-Inkl. geschrieben vor längerem, falls es jemand brauchen kann:

I think one.com is aware of the developers getting f*cked with these cache settings. I’ve used the 24/7 chat and asked for a cache disable on their side, problem fixed in 10 seconds!

Det handler virkelig om tale pænt til dem. JEg har forespurgt mange gange på netop dette dødirreterende emne og fælles er deres “please allow 30 minutes..” men udfaldet kan gå begge veje derefter. Efter 30 min. kaffepause er man ret dizzy og kommer til at være spydig som det ses her.

fedt artikel-emne i og med at så mange små kunder ligger hos dem.

Nå, jeg troede det var dem der bare var useriøs i supporten. Du kan godt få php cachen slået fra, men ikke den til statiske filer, som er lidt en skam når mal lige vil patche et stylesheet eller en .htaccess fil.

Det var sgu ikke de idioter, der fandt ud af det, men mig selv.
Jeg kærer både phpbb og WordPress på forskellige domæner hos dem.

Du kan ikke lmgås Varnish Cache Server hos dem, da den allerede er slået fra.
Hvis du får en 503 error, er det en default meddelelse fra php.
Time outber 35 sek, hvorefter php fortsætter 15 sek endnu, men aldrig komemer videre…
Her har de ikke engang fundet ud af, hvordan det omgås, selvom det er simpelt.

Det var blot for at give dig løsningen på dit problem. Pøj, pøj!

It´s your MySQL Table overhead. Optimize your tables “Overhead” if it exceeds 1kB.

I really think of it more as offensive and wrong by the hoster, so I don’t have a lot of patience in these kind of situations.

Admittedly the situation might have changed since June, but:

I just had a similar experience – I went on live-chat, asked them to disable the file cache – and they did.

The difference in my approach? I was polite, and asked nicely! Try it, it’s good for the soul, and for productivity!

I also have these issues with one.com, and it’s fucking annoying!

I, myself, have domains with unoeuro.com and I have never had any issues with them. And when I have had any questions their support is fast and effective.

So yeah what I wanted to say is, is: I can highly recommend unoeuro.com

Thanks a lot for this info.
Had no freaking idea why my design kept messing up. It was driving me crazy.
Just some additional info I got from chatting with their livesupport. At first the person told me that they could only deduct the delay with about 30sec or 1 min. I told them that that was unacceptable, and I wanted the caching disabled completely. Then the person told me to create an ‘.htaccess’ file with the content ‘header add “disablevcache” “true”‘, and place it the root folder. It’s gonna take about 30min for that change to take effect too. Fingers crossed.

do you have to use Visual Studio or C#?
If you need C# I would recommend Mono, its a great Linux compiler for C#. Monodevelop would be your Tool of choice.
Its in the Ubuntu Repository, so give it a try.

Ja, full frame und die dicken Objektive sind für mich auch not etwas in der Zukunft, aber ich freue mich dennoch am Fortschritt meiner kleinen Werkzeugkiste.

Das Sushi-Bild und das Portrait sind richtig cool! Ich habe ja das 28-75mm von Tamron und bin sehr zufrieden damit (mit Ausnahme an dem Tag, wo ich es mit dem gleichen L-Objektiv von Canon vergleichen konnte ).

Hey, naja, es war im Sommer Zwischendurch hatte ich schon wieder die ausrasierte Frisur, aber nun sind die Haare schon wieder länger.

Filter benutze ich übrigens nicht, aber an der Farbtemperatur drehe ich ab und zu. Filter auf die Kamera würde ich gerne mal testen, besonders Polarisations- und Graufilter.
